We are delighted to announce that the 2015 Citizen of the Year is…

Amanda Donnet

Nominations for the very first Citizen of the Year Award in the Republic of Wynnum have now closed and we have a field of fifteen worthy candidates who have (in the main) been nominated by other citizens of the Republic as being worthy – and deserving – of the title.

Now it’s over to you.

The Citizen of the Year will not be chosen by a committee or by a ‘Captain’s Pick’. The title will be awarded solely on the number of votes cast online here between now and 11.55pm on Wednesday 11th November. We will announce the very first Republic of Wynnum Citizen of the Year on Independence Day, Thursday 12th November. The Citizen of the Year will receive an honorary title of their choice and so will join the Peerage and will be given the ‘Keys to the Republic’. We will also hold a short parade in Wynnum at the Twilight Market on Saturday 14th November.
